A UN study warned that at the current rate, Latin America will not achieve the education goals of the 2030 Agenda.
The director at SénecaLab, Adriana Angarita, who is also a specialist in higher and virtual education, analyzed the UN report, which warns that at the current rate, Latin America will not achieve the education goals of the 2030 Agenda.
Said study, which identifies the challenges facing the region and the areas that require urgent attention from the countries to achieve the goals outlined in the 2030 Agenda, warns that the economic difficulties and the devastating effects of the pandemic contributed to the slowdown and the stagnation in the progress of educational achievements between 2015 and 2021 with respect to the goals of SDG4 of the 2030 Agenda.
In Angarita’s opinion, “the results of the report are not a surprise to anyone and it seems that we are waiting for a Messiah who will come to resolve the education that worries us so much.”
“I believe that the people who are directly facing the problem, why don’t parents go, those who know these regions, they are the ones who really have the solution.
