ADP warns of “disorder” due to the merger of Minerd and Mescyt

ADP alerta sobre «desorden» por fusión de Minerd y Mescyt

The merger of institutions continues to stir up the discontent of the sectors that they claim would be affected by the measure, as is the case of the educational sector alerted by the Dominican Association of Teachers (ADP) that predicts a collapse in that area.

In that sense, the president of the union, Eduardo Hidalgo, warned “with the greatest concern about the privatization frenzy” that in his opinion represents merging the ministries of Education and Higher Education, Science and Technology.

«A process of imposing the merger of the ministries of Education and Higher Education, Science and Technology has been undertaken, at forced marches, without the participation of key actors in the educational process.«Hidalgo indicated during a press conference.

The teacher assured that there is no reliable evidence to support the effectiveness of the merger of the institutions.
