The union that groups the teachers agrees with the request of the organizations linked to the educational sector to confront the “partisanship” in the Education Dominican.
“If that group of organizations that deposited that letter, with which we agree, had presented it to us, we would have signed it, because we are suffering, the complaints reach us here, they reach us,” explained Eduardo Hidalgo.
He denounced that due to politics the results of the Teaching Opposition Contest have been manipulated, and that they do not rule out going to court because there is evidence that the order of qualification of teachers has been altered.
the secretary of Education top of the ADPSixto Gabín, welcomed the resumption of the discussions of the Pact for Educational Reform and said that educational quality has a lot to do with the curricular reform, of which the current Minerd has not presented a proposal. He said that the citizen chairs are important, but they are capsules, and what it is about now is to go for a reform with educational quality, school infrastructure and better teacher training.
Education preschool
Primitiva Medina argued that the ADP proposed in the Educational Pact that children enter schools from the age of three and not from the age of five, since this situation is causing the problems that they do not read or write correctly.
“There has been no way that the State, that Education, allow three-year-olds to enter the system and it is not the same when a child enters school early, in preschool, and the teacher can start that process early. This also makes a big difference with students from the private sector who enter schools from the age of two”, she explained.
The unionists also assure that the automatic promotion of students should be eliminated, since it is not good for a student to be promoted from a grade with deficiencies.
The ADP is in a process of self-analysis and of improving the population’s perception of the union, which it attributes to past mistakes and “an aptitude from power, from all governments and all ministries”, because they do good things, but the people don’t know about it.
