What he said minerd
The Ministry of Education of the Dominican Republic (minerd) issued this Saturday a release clarifying that the embargo recent at accounts of the Dominican Association of Teachers (ADP) is not due to union or electoral reasons.
This legal measure responds to the prolonged suspension of the teaching in Barahonastarted at the beginning of the school year by the ADP.
In his statement, the minerd pointed out that the paralyzation of classes in Barahonaas well as in Azua and San Francisco de Macorís, has been promoted by a minority faction of the ADPwhich uses the strikes as a strategy to promote their candidates, which violates the right of students to quality education and the continuity of the school calendar.
