The Logistics Cluster of the Dominican Republic (CLRD) in the Dominican Association of Free Zones (Adozona) announced this Wednesday the success that the program has had “24 Hour Dispatch”, executed for that sector by the General Directorate of Customs (DGA).
Luis José Bonilla, president of paving stonewas satisfied with the work and professionalism with which the free zone sector has been treated in the management carried out by Eduardo Sanz Lovatón at the head of the DGA.
He affirmed that “the DGA is doing a commendable job; The free zone sector needs dynamism and speed and that is what we have been able to see in this management. I don’t think there is a complaint right now, in our association, about what the sector is Customs. Containers are being removed in one day, and on Saturday afternoons, something that did not happen before, and, for that, we have to congratulate Sanz Lovatón”, expressed Bonilla in a press release.
In this sense, he recognized and appreciated the availability and openness of the Deputy Director of Free Zones, Julio Anulfo Pascual Rodríguez, and his entire team.
These statements were exposed during a visit that Bonilla made, along with members of the entity he presides over, to the director of CustomsSanz Lovatón, to deliver a copy of the first Dominican Logistics Guide, an initiative of the Logistics Cluster of paving stone.

Said guide aims to provide the information on the Dominican logistics sector that the investor needs, and which also promotes the competitive advantages that the country has to attract more investments towards that economic line.
It will have statistics on connectivity, frequency of sea and air travel, the country’s port and airport infrastructure, travel times to the main markets in the region, costs, among others, the note indicates.
“The idea is to promote Dominican logistics, provide information to ambassadors, commercial attachés, businessmen,” said the representative of paving stone.
Some 1,200 copies were printed in English, to be distributed to different businessmen, ambassadors, commercial attachés, and international logistics fairs, so that the country is an option for those capitals that wish to implement or return to the model. nearshoring in its business structure.
