ADOCOC recognizes communicator Lissette Selman at the closing of the Christian Communication Week

Santo Domingo. – The Dominican Association of Christian Communicators (ADOCOC) concluded the VIII Week of Christian Communication: Transcend, where the communicator Lisette Selman was recognized.

The recognition was delivered by Erika Oviedo, national president of ADOCOC, accompanied by the members of the board and Hilda Peguero, president of the Círculo de Locutores Dominicanos.

“Through this recognition and on behalf of our faith community, we want to honor her career and the ethical exercise that has accompanied her throughout her professional career. We are grateful for what she has sown and continues to sow in our society,” said Oviedo when presenting the award.

On his side, Peguero declared that: “for us as a Circle of Dominican Announcers it is an honor to witness a night like this that drives us to rediscover the particular purpose of each one when he takes a microphone in his hands.”

The honoree thanked the board for honoring her and received the award with humility.

“Create a transcendent trajectory”, “Fame or transcendence? And “A communicator that transcends” were the titles under which the speakers spoke that night. In addition to the participation of Lissette Selman, the event featured presentations by Miguel Susana and Dío Astacio, who motivated and inspired those attending the ethical, honest and truthful communication exercise.

The president of the entity, I take the opportunity to give an account of everything that the union has achieved this year. She, as well as she, gave some brushstrokes of the plans for 2023.

Since December 3, ADOCOC has exhausted a cycle of conferences and virtual meetings with leading professionals in national and international Christian communication.

This year, Vivian Fatule in Higuey and Ruth Camil Santos in Santiago were speakers at the face-to-face meetings. While Fayra Castro and Kenia Santana were in charge of the webinars “A legacy that transcends” and “Metaverse: opportunities and challenges of Christian communication”, respectively.

Christian Communication Week is held annually to celebrate the anniversary of the institution and add value to its members. This year, it was under the theme “Transcend” with the purpose of inspiring and equipping the participants to go further and forge a legacy for generations.

The event took place at the Indotel Digital Culture Center, with the artistic participation of Neuris Jeanette and YWAM. While the opening prayer was in charge of Pastor Abraham Casado and led by Yirenni Pérez.
