The president of the Exporters Association (ADEX), Julio Pérez Alván, expressed his rejection of the president’s message peter castlebecause he did not make a mea culpa and for not announcing measures against the country’s problems.
“Not only did he not make a mea culpa regarding the role he plays in the political crisis in which the country is plunged, but he also did not announce measures to deal with the big problems: unemployment, informality and poverty.”, he stated.
The representative of the business union also maintained that in the speech it is clear that he has a different interpretation of the situation in the country.
“He believes that everything is going well, but what he says falls apart when the International Monetary Fund (IMF) reduces its growth forecast for the national economy from 3% to 2.8% and the Central Reserve Bank (BCR) estimates a 0% growth of private investment, which is insufficient to absorb the workforce of young people who year after year enter the labor market”, he pointed.
He added that it is perceived “a high dose of cynicism in his message and insists on dividing Peru and blaming the great evils on the elites”.
“It is time to stop that speech and make important decisions for the good of the 33 million Peruvians. Either he steps aside or changes his way of governing. There are no half measures”, he concluded.
