Adaptation work begins at the Omar Torrijos Herrera stadium

The Omar Torrijos Herrera stadium, in the province of Veraguas, is being adapted by the Panamanian Institute of Sports, since it will be used for the next National Youth Baseball Championship 2023.

The adaptation works began after receiving the observations issued by the National Civil Protection System and the Department of Architecture and Engineering of Pandeportes. Inspections indicated that the stadium structure is fit for use.

Pandeportes has implemented an intervention immediately in order to be able to have the house of the Veraguas Indians enabled for the Baseball tournament in 2023.

The maintenance crew is carrying out general cleaning with pressure washers, painting the internal façade, replacing protective mats, maintaining the pitch, repairing the bathrooms, among other adjustments for the benefit of the players and fans.
Pandeportes reported that the Omar Torrijos Herrera stadium will be able to receive the public from January 8, when the Veraguas team hosts Bocas del Toro in the first home game in the 2023 National Baseball Championship, according to the calendar defined by the Federation. Panamanian Baseball.
