MIAMI, United States. – Cuban actress Lili Santiesteban announced this Monday on his Instagram account who was in the United States, where she finally met her husband, the singer Antonio Luis González, known artistically as Tonny Luis.
The news was shared by the actress on her birthday just as she reaches her 36th birthday, this August 26.
“Today is my birthday and it is one of the happiest days of my life, but that is not the only thing I celebrate, I celebrate the blessing that God has given me of reaching the end of this journey, of being with my husband,” Santiesteban wrote.
“Only God knows how long we were apart and how much we fought for our love. I love you, Tonny Luis, WE DID IT,” she added.
The actress included several photos in her post where she can be seen with her husband in the United States.
Santiesteban, originally from Holguín, is known especially for her role as delegate Yaquelín in the soap opera So far and yet so close (2022), one of the most prominent roles of his career.
In an interview with the official portal CubaYesIn 2022, the actress mentioned that, due to her role in that drama, she had lost her name and had become “the delegate.”
“In my neighborhood, people sometimes forget that I am a character, that I am an actress, and they present me with the problems of the building where I live and on the streets, which is very fun and, at the same time, rewarding,” she said.
In addition to his work on television, Santiesteban has been part of the group Verdarte, in which he has ventured into musical theater and dance. “I have always been very versatile, but if there is one thing I would like to do, it is to dedicate myself to singing professionally, either with my own group or solo, because interpreting a lyric denotes sensitivity and is closely linked to when one gives life to a character,” he also told CubaYes.
Graduated from the National School of Art (ENA) and later from the Higher Institute of Art (ISA), Santiesteban has participated in the short film Platypusin the film Havana Selfies and in the soap opera In times of love.
