Actor Ney Latorraca, 80 years old, died this Thursday morning (26) in Rio de Janeiro. The information was released by the press office of Clínica São Vicente, the hospital where the artist was admitted.
The clinic did not release information about the reason for death, at the request of the actor’s family.
Son of artists, Antônio Ney Latorraca was born on July 25, 1944, in Santos (SP). His career began when he was six years old, with appearances on Rádio Record.
His theater debut occurred at the age of 19, in the play Pluft, the Little Ghostby Maria Clara Machado. He passed through the Tupi, Cultura, Record and SBT stations, but it was on Globo, where he debuted in 1975, that he played some of television’s most memorable characters: Barbosa, from the comedy program Pirate TV, and Vlad, from the soap opera Vamp.
