Public Health Personnel, in conjunction with Health Authorities and the National Police of the province of Herrera, began the year 2022 verifying compliance with the sanitary regulations and the provisions on biosafety in the province of Herrera.
During the operations, it was possible to evidence non-compliance by some event organizers with the regulations of the Ministry of Health, aimed at mitigating the contagion of COVID-19.
Such is the case that at dawn on January 1, an event was verified in a hotel in the city of Chitré, detecting that it did not have permission from the Herrera Regional Health Office and its capacity exceeded 50% of capacity. of the place, for which the activity was suspended before its culmination time.
Similarly, in a garden located in Los Pozos, it was detected that the verification of the vaccination card or QR code was not fulfilled, while in a cockpit the requested capacity was not fulfilled.
All the activities where non-compliance was detected were evicted and their organizers summoned to start the administrative process.
Health authorities call on event organizers to comply with current regulations, to avoid increases in the number of active cases, as well as sanctions.
