Dressage and folklore festival will be held from today in Plácido Rosas

Field activities during the day and at night, as well as artistic shows and dances make up the program prepared by the Board of Directors of the Traditionalist Society of Paso del Dragón.

The 24th Edition of the Dressage and Folklore Festival begins today and will run until next Sunday, February 8.

“This is an activity that has been in our department for many years” highlighted the Mayor of Cerro Largo.

“Every second weekend in February, all those who do the day-to-day life of the Creoles meet in Plácido Rosas. People come not only from the entire department, but from different parts of the country” said Christian Morel.

“In this case with a new Mayor, who also likes horses, who also likes this activity, that is why the Paso del Dragón Society has received great support from the Municipality of Plácido Rosas” he remarked.

A GREAT CALL

“For us the issue of the press is very important, we see that there are many media here to disseminate these events that are so important there in the town” express Facundo Monzón.

The Mayor of Plácido Rosas thanked the Departmental Government for its support of this 24th Dressage and Folklore Festival.

STARTS THIS AFTERNOON

“We start this Friday with a redomone competition. As usual in our party, we will have minors, teenagers and adults” he started saying Leonardo Olivera.

“At night we are going to have a cattle criolla and a festival with 4 artists where Canario Martínez, Marcelo Ledesma, Deborah and the Dragons of the Future will perform” advertisement.

Saturday’s activity begins at hour 9 with shoveling and a rein test with $15,000 to the winner. “In the afternoon we start the round of accumulated points where the rider carries the colt which is for $50,000, $30,000 and $20,000. At night we have another round of riders by box for the first time in the illuminated arena. Then there will be a great dance with Miriam Britos and the Guardians” reported the member of the organizing committee.

On Sunday the 8th at the 9th hour the gaucho parade will be held with a concentration in the Plaza de Plácido Rosas. “When we get to the ring there will be a special Pony wheel for the first time in our Traditionalist Society and we begin the wheel by troop on Sunday which is for $100,000, $30,000 and $20,000 for which the arrival of riders and troops from all over the country is scheduled. In the afternoon we have 3 special rides and the wheel starts in the recado and in open ground, closing the show with the Polkeros of the Yí Olivera detailed.

Today the entrance to the ring will cost $150, tomorrow $250 and Sunday $350.
