Active cases of monkeypox rise to 93 in the country

The week started with four new cases of monkeypox in Santa Cruz. With these new cases, the total number in the country amounts to 96. However, three of these correspond to recovered patients, with which, active cases are 93.

The infections are distributed in Holy Cross (83), where the recovered ones are also; La Paz (6), Cochabamba (5), Potosí (1) and Chuquisaca (1).

Since August 1, when the first case of monkeypox was confirmed by laboratory, it has been ruled out that 270 patients suffer from the disease.

Most of Santa Cruz’s patients are in home isolation and receives medications to treat his symptoms.
