The National Government will begin a redevelopment process to serve the families affected by the heavy rains recorded at the beginning of October in Las Tejerías, Aragua state.
In an interview on the show freehand, of Venezuelan Television; The Sectoral Vice President for Planning, Ricardo Menéndez, explained that President Nicolás Maduro established a zoning process for Las Tejerías.
Now, this process will go through the different instances until it has all the technical, scientific, social and human variables, which imply a process with these characteristics for the work to be carried out.
The works will begin with a study for the realization of hydraulic works, which must generate upstream.
This, to be able to build sediment traps as part of the strategic forecast program for any event caused by the climate crisis.
He asserted that, with what happened in Las Tejerías – which left a balance of more than 50 dead and 50 missing – the Bolivarian Government, with the help of drones, elaborated the detailed photometry of the damages, for which there are records of before and after the trough
“We have to correct historical relations of population of the territory, the inequalities in these patterns”, he pointed out.
It should be remembered that, last Tuesday, the Venezuelan head of state directed to rethink 20 years from now, the plans of the Great Housing Mission Venezuela (GMVV), for the transformation of urban areas due to the effects of climate change.
At that time, the National President explained that the climatic situation “is replanting the strategic planning of habitable and urban areas for the next 20 years.”
“It is a challenge for future planning, it is a challenge for the Great Venezuela Housing Mission that must be replanned to bring about a structural change in the human, population and urban settlements of our country,” President Maduro specified.
