Carlos Acosta will bring “Nutcracker in Havana” and “Carmen” to stages in the United Kingdom in 2026

Under the tutelage of the prestigious Cuban dancer and choreographer Carlos Acosta, the Acosta Dance company will present two of its most recognized productions in the United Kingdom in 2026: Nutcracker in Havana and Carmen.

The first of the works will have its presentations as early as January, while the second will hit British theaters in the spring.

Acosta Danza’s performance combines the tradition of classical ballet with a reinterpretation marked by elements of Cuban culture, and on this occasion it will have two luxury guests.

These are Anette Delgado and Dani Hernández, first dancers of the National Ballet of Cuba (BNC), who will join the tour of the company directed by Carlos Acosta, as confirmed by the agency Latin Press (PL).

The media highlights that Delgado and Hernández “stand out for the technical precision and stylistic elegance with which they interpret each character,” and recalls that “Nutcracker “It is a fundamental work in their careers, where they have reached an exceptional artistic level.”

Acosta Danza celebrates ten years of dedication on stage

Last September, Acosta Danza celebrated a decade on stage with his fusion of classical and contemporary techniques.

Carlos Acosta, considered by critics to be one of the greatest references in world dance, founded the company at the end of 2015, although it made its artistic debut in April 2016 in the midst of the boom Havana culture that came hand in hand with the rapprochement between Cuba and the United States.

Trained at the National Ballet School in Havana, from a very young age he consolidated a career backed by numerous distinctions, including the Prix De Lausanne in 1990. He retired from the stage in 2016 after 28 years dancing professionally in prestigious companies in Cuba and the world.
