Acodeco verified 386 economic agents, in a school operation During the “Back to Classes” operation, the Authority for Consumer Protection and Defense of Competition (Acodeco) verified 386 commercial establishments throughout the country, most of which complied with consumer protection regulations.
There were 159 stores from the capital city and 227 from the other regions. Of those, 105 had offers of school supplies and without failing the standards of veracity in advertising. Only 4 offers with faults or anomalies were detected. As for prices on sight, 262 maintained the same prices and only 1 was found to be without prices in view of buyers. Regarding the verifications of the ITBMS collection or 7% in exonerated school supplies, 14 inspections were carried out.
Irregularities due to the collection of this tax are sent to the General Directorate of Revenue. Acodeco reiterates that all consumer complaints will be dealt with in a timely manner. Report any irregularity through
