The Authority for the Protection of Consumers and Defense of Competition (Acodeco), reported on February 14 that it managed to kidnap the economic agent Vip Global Marketing, SA more than thirty thousand balboas, so that the process that is followed is effective in its effects. .
This kidnapping is in favor of 12 consumers who claim a lack of clear and truthful information, at the time the services were contracted.
After the kidnapping, Acodeco requests the respective courts to terminate these contracts and the consequent return of the sums paid by the affected consumers.
They stressed that the claim has already been admitted and the process is located in the Eighth Civil Court, Consumer Protection and Defense of Competition, of the first Judicial Circuit of the Province of Panama.
Acodeco assured that it will continue to fulfill its role of safeguarding and defending the rights of consumers, in the face of irregular situations that occur in the national market.
