Santo Domingo, RD – In his Decimocula ordinary session, held on August 28, the Chamber of Accounts of the Dominican Republic (CCRD) approved four new audit reports corresponding to the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM), to the City Council Municipal of Puerto Plata, to the State Sugar Council (CEA) and to the City Council of the National District.
The reports were prepared in compliance with the powers conferred by the Constitution of the Republic and Law no. 18-24 On the control of investment and public spending, each accompanied by their respective legal report.

The first corresponds to the audit practiced in the Ministry of Energy and Mines (MEM) to the Punta Catalina thermoelectric plant (CTPC). This transcendental control exercise aimed to determine the construction cost of the plant for the Dominican State, from its beginnings in 2013 to the December 31, 2021, and included the participation of a multidisciplinary team of technicians and professionals from various areas.
The second report includes the audit made to the financial information included in the Budget Execution States of the Municipal City Council of Puerto Plata, corresponding to the period between the January 1, 2014 and December 31, 2020.
The third corresponds to the audit made to the financial statements of the State Sugar Council (CEA), for the period between the January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2018.
The fourth report refers to the audit practiced to the financial information included in the budget execution states of the City of the National District, for the period between January 1, 2018 and December 31, 2019.
