According to the Dgeyc, unemployment in CABA was 8.7% in the first quarter of the year

The General Directorate of Statistics and Censuses of the Government of the City of Buenos Aires (geyc) revealed, in its latest Labor Indicators report, that the unemployment rate had a year-on-year drop of 1.3% in the City.

According to the organism, the level of unemployment stood at 8.7% during the first quarter of the year; however, the geyc revealed that the figure rose 1% compared to the last quarter of last year (October-December).

INDEC will reveal a national employment report on June 23.

In this regard, the geyc stressed that “The recovery trend of the main indicators continues, with an increase in both the activity rate and employmentand a decrease in the inactive population”.
