President Nicolás Maduro said that his administration will work to recover the economy and guarantee peace and social unity despite alleged calls for violence from the opposition
According to President Nicolás Maduro, his administration is “absolutely” aligned with the needs of the citizens. He asserted that it is a “formula” created by former President Hugo Chávez and that it prevails in his administration.
“The political power that controls the resources of the State must be absolutely linked to the needs of the people. This is the formula that Venezuela has found, that Commander Chavez found,” Maduro said on August 21.
During an inspection day of the construction of a retaining wall in the Los Ojitos sector, in the municipality of San Joaquín, in the state of Carabobo, he stressed that “the power of the country is the commune in action.” He stated that this is a way to heal the wounds that, he said, were created by the sanctions against him and officials of his leadership.
“Thanks to the popular consultation held on April 21, the construction of the retaining wall, located in the Los Ojitos sector, in the municipality of San Joaquín, Carabobo state, is a reality,” he stressed while inviting citizens to participate in the new consultation session that will take place on Sunday, August 25.

After the day in Carabobo, Maduro went to the Capital District for the inauguration of the Caricuao Maternal and Child Hospital, where he stated that on July 29 and 30, during the post-election protests, alleged criminals threatened the members of the governing party to “intimidate” them for their support for the government.
«What would have happened if fascism had seized political power in Venezuela? Is the fascist right prepared to govern Venezuela? Can we let them take political power? With their hatred and revenge, they came to kill the people of Venezuela», reiterated.
He said his administration would work to restore the economy and ensure peace and social unity despite the alleged calls for violence.
He insisted on accusing X owner Elon Musk of financing the alleged “coup” attempt by the opposition on July 29 and 30. He stressed that Musk “wants to steal” the dreams and freedom of Venezuelans.
“To Elon Musk, who is the Goliath of our time, here I am, David, who am the people, I say to you Elon Musk: you are knocked out Elon Musk, the people defeated fascism,” he added.
