According to information published by the Vice President and Minister of Hydrocarbons, Delcy Rodríguez, the Government of Nicolás Maduro maintains joint work with the private sector to ensure the production and distribution of food in the country.
The vice president and Minister of Hydrocarbons, Delcy Rodríguez, reported, this Saturday, January 4, that according to her calculations during 2024, the Local Supply and Production Councils (CLAP) distributed 132 million food combos and 140 thousand tons of proteins throughout the country.
According to the information published by Rodríguez, the Government of Nicolás Maduro maintains joint work with the private sector to ensure the production and distribution of food in the country.
Rodríguez assured that today the food consumed in the country “is born from the hands of the Venezuelan people, from industrialists, from farmers, from fishermen.”

“Thanks to a strategy established by President Nicolás Maduro, in the country today we have full sovereignty in oil production. We no longer have to import this item, for example. We have to produce and concentrate on consuming Venezuelan,” said Delcy Rodríguez from a Campo Soberano Fair.
He called on the conscience of the people to promote national production and, in this way, confront the supposed enemies of the Homeland, “who only seek the backwardness of our economy and industrial capacity.”
“We continue to bet on the recovery of the industrial capacities that Venezuela has installed. “No one is going to stop us, we will continue to recover in sectors such as hydrocarbons and agroindustry,” said Rodríguez.
