Accident on the Pasamayo bypass: Multiple crash due to dense fog leaves several injured

A thick fog covered the Pan-American Highway North and caused a quintuple crash on the Pasamayo Variant, at kilometer 57, on the border between Ancón and Chancay.

All five vehicles, including a motorcycle taxi, were damaged in the pile-up.

Due to the accident, two people were injured and were immediately taken to the Chancay hospital.

It is worth mentioning that SAMU (Emergency Medical Care Service) personnel went to the scene of the accident to provide assistance to the affected people.

The company that owns the route closed the affected sections, specifically between kilometers 57 and 58, for safety reasons.

In addition, the National Police recommends that drivers traveling from north to south take precautions on the road to avoid further traffic congestion.
