A 37 -year -old man died this Saturday in a traffic accident on the La Moza road, Manicaragua, in which another ten people were injured, two of them in critical condition, reported The Cuban News Agency (ACN).
The event occurred when they collided a private sheet Polski with an ambulance of the industrial military company Ernesto Che Guevara de la Campana, in Villa Clara.
The victim was identified as Adalberto Armas Hernández, 37 years old, a native of turns, in the municipality of Camajuaní, the ACN added.

All the injured received first aid in the 50th Anniversary Municipal Polyclinic, and then they were transferred to the Arnaldo Milián Castro Castero Hospital of the provincial capital, where seven people were admitted.
According to the ACN, one of them presents severe brain skull trauma and is admitted to the intensive care unit. Meanwhile, patients diagnosed with polytrauma evolve favorably and are expected that in the next few days some of them can be discharged.
So far the causes of the accident are not known, the second with multiple affected in the last two weeks in Villa Clara. On September 22, two buses collided in Ranchuelos, causing 49 injured, including nine minors.
The incident occurred on the road to Esperanza, two kilometers from the Popular Council La Esperanza of the Ranchuelo municipality, and involved an Yutong vehicle (Chapa 121284), and a Diana bus (027011), in addition to a horse cart.

Lieutenant Colonel Heriberto López, head of the Provincial Traffic Unit of Villa Clara, explained then that the Yutong bus was going to pick up the Pharmacuba workers in Esperanza when they hit a Diana bus of the Ranchuelo base, which made a trip from San Juan to Santa Clara.
Cuba registered in 2024 a total of 7507 traffic accidents, 12 % less than those reported in the preceding year (8556), according to official statistics cited by EFE.
Among the main causes of accidents are the poor state of the streets and roads due to the general lack of maintenance, as well as the precariousness of much of the automotive park, with between 40 and 70 years of operation.
