Accident of a “red devil” in the South Corridor, leaves 33 injured 15 are in critical condition

A traffic accident involving a “red devil” bus, on the Chepo-Corredor route, which overturned on the afternoon of this Tuesday, March 7, in the South corridor, at the height of Punta Pacífica, left a total of 33 wounded.

According to the lieutenant colonel of the Meritorious Fire Department, Ángel Delgado, of the 33 people affected, one is a driver of another vehicle, 15 are in critical condition, two of them are children. And the rest had minor injuries.

He said that the bus driver is one of the critical patients and was the first to receive medical attention as he was taken out by people who provided support to the injured while emergency teams arrived.

The Minister of Government, Roger Tejada, arrived at the scene of the accident, who reiterated that so far no fatalities have been recorded and revealed that investigations have already begun to determine the causes of the accident.

After the accident, several drivers showed their solidarity and tried to help by removing the injured, while a Metro Bus driver stopped on the opposite road and offered the vehicle’s fire extinguisher to put out the calls that started in the engine of the bus that had an accident.
