VERÓN – One person was killed and several injured, some seriously, when a yellow tourist transport bus collided with a white Daihatsu truck loaded with construction workers.
The victim has not been identified at the moment, but is still lying on the pavement waiting for the medical authorities and a prosecutor to remove the body.
The number of injured was not established, but it was said that there were more than five and that they were taken to the Higüey hospital.
The driver is in critical condition, according to rescuers who came to help.
It was speculated that the minibus driver fled as soon as the spectacular accident occurred.
