According to reports, Parrís was collecting garbage bags left by people on the side of the road when he suffered the accident.
At about 2:40 am this Saturday, a fatal traffic accident was recorded in Villa Carmen, province of Colón, where two workers lost their lives.
Oscar Parrís, one of the fatal victims, was a worker and waste collection assistant for the company Aguaseo SA with 7 years of service.
According to reports, Parrís was collecting garbage bags left by people on the side of the road when he suffered the accident.
The second victim is Santiago Córdoba, known as “Picho”, and he was a Daniel Transport worker in the Colón Free Zone and assorted boats.
Apparently, the garbage truck pulled over to the side of the road so that Parrís and another colleague could do their work, while the white panel driven by Córdoba passed and ran over the garbage collector.
Firefighters units stated that the area was illuminated and the Aguaseo company truck kept its lights so that other cars traveling on the road could see them.
