Accident in Ocoña: They dictate 7 days of detention against truck driver

The Preparatory Investigation Court of Camaná ordered seven days of flagrante detention against Henry Apaclla Ñaupari, investigated for aggravated manslaughter and negligent injuries after the traffic accident that occurred in Ocoña, Arequipa.

The incident, recorded last Wednesday, November 12, left 37 people dead and 25 injured.

The Public Ministry He supported his request by pointing out that the driver poured 0.11 grams of alcohol per liter of blood in the ethyl dosage carried out six hours after the event. Therefore, auxiliary examinations and a retrospective analysis will be requested to accurately determine your condition at the time of the accident.

The accident occurred on the way down from the Ocoña bridge, at kilometer 780 of the Panamericana Sur, and involved a bus from the Llamosas company.

All the fatalities have already been identified by the Institute of Legal Medicine, while investigations continue to clarify the causes of the incident.

It should be noted that earlier it was reported that of the 37 bodies that entered the Camaná morgue, three have not yet been recognized and claimed by their relatives.
