The heads of the Ministries of Labor and Social Security, Pablo Mieres, and Social Development, Martín Lema, witnessed, on Monday 12, the closing of the Access program for 29 participants who worked in the first aforementioned portfolio. The hierarchs highlighted the work experience that these people acquired in seven months and indicated that the companies that absorb them will be exempt from social contributions.
Mieres and Lema were accompanied by the General Director of Labor, Valentina Arlegui; the national director of Territorial Management, of the Ministry of Social Development (Mides), Alejandro Sciarra, and the participants of the socio-educational and labor program, who come from various Mides plans.
Access consists of two phases. The first consists of seven months of protected work, offered by public institutions and departmental governments, with a social benefit of a minimum wage. The objective is also for the participants to acquire work skills and habits. In the second stage, they are nominated to join companies, according to their profiles.
Mieres considered that the program promotes social inclusion and that the closure is the end of one cycle and the beginning of another. He also appreciated that the participants incorporate this experience into their careers, which will result in greater job opportunities in the future.
Lema, meanwhile, emphasized that achieving personal autonomy is the objective of Accesos, based on the educational tools and job offers it provides.
He expressed that the need to find opportunities in the labor market or to continue training continues and, therefore, the role of the Ministry of Labor is important, which helped to face the future, with two incentive tools: first, the norm by which the program was created, which exempts companies that absorb participants from contributions, and, secondly, the employment promotion law.
“The experiences that those who participate give us are very excited, because they show the will to move forward. We learn from those who have gone through this stage, that wanting to have opportunities is an impulse to design actions “Lema said.
