About 34 thousand students who failed subjects during the 2021 school year began the academic recovery process this Monday, January 3, 2022.
The Minister of Education, Maruja Gorday de Villalobos, said that the conference will take place, under the blended modality, in 96 schools in the different educational regions of the country.
According to the minister, 18 thousand of these students correspond to pre-secondary education and 16 thousand to the average.
The academic recovery program will run until February 18.
Students interested in attending said program had to present the original bulletin and a copy, a certification from the school that indicates the failed subjects, a copy of the student’s identity card and the guardian, reported the Ministry of Education.
The educational authorities have reiterated that all biosafety measures will be applied and the distance between the classrooms will be maintained. Similarly, Meduca announced that schools with greater capacity were selected, according to the number of students.
Upon completion of this academic recovery program, classes will begin in March. Through Executive Decree 2077 of December 1, 2021, the 2022 school calendar was established. Thus, the first term will run from March 7 to June 10.
