Abused, exploited and murdered: Sarai (12 years old), a case similar to that of Yuliana Samboní but little is talked about

The body of the Venezuelan minor was found lifeless inside a rented room in Santa Rosa de Cabal. The case was disclosed by the victim’s lawyer and there is a university student captured; but they ask that the authorities publicly give details of everything that happened.

The cases of homicides registered in the last eight years in Colombia perhaps mark the sad reality that the country has historically experienced since its violent beginnings. Of these cases (more than 7,000) there are more than 400 femicides and of them 277 during all of 2021. His crime became known during the recent weekend after the publication made by El Espectador, where the lawyer and director of the Fundación Femicides Colombia, Yamile Roncancio revealed another terrible case in which a girl was the victim of sexual exploitation, torture and murder in the municipality of Santa Rosa de Cabal, Risaralda.

About what happened to the little girl and all the situations surrounding this outrageous case, not much has been revealed by the authorities. In fact, it has become known thanks to the publication of the article.

Within these it is specified that the aberrant case of the Venezuelan girl «keeps patterns similar to that of Yuliana Samboní, which shook the country six years ago. Due to what happened to Sarai, a man identified as Jairo DL, 28, was captured.

Likewise, they clarify that the real name of the girl was Sarai Colmenares, was 12 years old and “her name is not Alejandra Ramírez, as she appeared on the Facebook and TikTok accounts«.

In said profiles there were photos and videos of the minor «that showed her “sexy” and much larger than she was. Her physical features, especially the roundness of her face and her thinness, quickly gave away that she was a girl.«.

The lawyer and the media detailed that the record that summarizes the inspection of little Sarai’s corpse was carried out last Monday, January 24, after 10 at night.

The terrible discovery occurred “on the second floor of a residence in the center of Santa Rosa de Cabal (Risaralda)”.

Sarai “had to forcibly migrate from Venezuela to Colombia, she did not go to school, and she ended up tortured and sexually abused to death less than a month ago, without Colombian society fading”

That day, the investigators and officials of the Sijín carried out the respective interviews with those they found in the place.

There they spoke with a man identified as Juan CG, who notified the authorities and was also the owner of the house where the girl and Jairo L. were staying.

El Espectador published that the owner of the residence «told them that he had sublet that room to a person known as Yordi, since December 17, 2021«.

Adding that for that day “he left early to work and when he left he saw his apartment neighbor in the kitchen”, however, when he returned to the place, around 9 at night “He knocked on Yordi’s door and, receiving no answer, entered and found Sarai lifeless, huddled against a wall.«.
