MADRID, Spain.- The popular Miami-Dade Youth Fair will be inaugurated this Thursday, March 16, and will run until April 9. As every year, you will be able to enjoy more than 80 games of attractions, exhibitions, live music and a great culinary variety.
The 71st edition of the long-awaited family event will take place, as it has for 47 years, at Tamiami Park: 10901 SW 24 St. (Coral Way), near Florida International University (FIU) in west Miami-Dade.
The opening hours will be at 4:00 in the afternoon from Monday to Friday and at noon on weekends; with free admission for children under 5 years of age and adults over 65 years of age.

- Miami Cuban Funnel Cake Sandwich: Pork, smoked ham, Swiss cheese, dill and mustard pickles sandwiched between two four-inch heat-pressed funnel cakes topped with your choice of guava or mango jam.
- Dillycious Loaded Pickles: Fried pickles loaded with cheese, bacon, and ranch.
- Wizard’s Deep Fried Milkshake: Deep fried caramel ice cream covered in a buttery simulated caramel sauce and topped with a flavored whipped cream topping.
- Mexican Street Corn Pizza: Pizza topped with buttered sweet corn, mozzarella cheese, mayonnaise drizzle, and Tajin seasoning.
- Cu-Banano: A banana sliced into churros, glazed with guava and cream cheese and garnished with whipped cream.
Zoo animals, livestock and agricultural competitions will be exhibited in the enclosure. Between the shows you can enjoy circus performances, ice skating and pig races. As for live music, with daily programming, groups such as Afroband, The bango bangos, Apache Dragon, Gilberto Bennedetti and Mantrap will perform on stage.
As explained by website of the fair, among the festivities the celebration for St. Patrick’s Day stands out: “Throughout the day, visitors dressed in green can enjoy half the price of regular admission. Check out the green delights, including green funnel cakes, green cotton candy, and green beer available only on St. Patrick’s Day.”
Likewise, the last day of the Youth Fair 2023 will coincide with Easter, so a fun Easter egg hunt will be organized on the grounds and in the garden.
The Youth Fair is ranked among the top 30 fairs in North America. In 2019, more than 550,000 guests attended the annual event.
