Santiago de los Caballeros.– President Luis Abinader will develop this Saturday, January 24, 2026, an agenda of official activities in the province of Santiago, which includes the inauguration of several road works and a diplomatic meeting.
At 2:00 in the afternoon, the president will lead the inauguration of the Guardarraya highway, a road that connects the municipality of Baitoa, in the province of Santiago, with the municipal district of Tavera, in the province of La Vega. The event will take place in the community of Guardarraya, municipality of Baitoa.
Later, at 3:15 in the afternoon, the head of state will preside over the inauguration of the Bao–La Galeta highway, as well as the La Hoya–La Virgen and La Hoya–El Cuartel sections, located in the area of influence of the López Angostura Hydroelectric Power Plant, in the province of Santiago.
The presidential agenda will conclude at 6:00 in the afternoon, when President Abinader receives the elected president of Chile, José Antonio Kast, at the Presidential Residence of Santiago, located at 7 José María Serra Street, La Trinitaria urbanization.
These activities are part of the president’s work program in the Cibao region, focused on strengthening road infrastructure and international relations.
