President Luis Abinader assured this morning that he will touch on “all the issues” concerning the Dominican Republic in his meeting in Washington with Vice President Kamala Harris.
When asked by the journalists who cover the fountain of the National Palace, if he would deal with the Haitian issue, he answered succinctly: “All issues.”
Abinaderwho on this occasion was wearing a tie, boarded the plane to Washington, the capital of the United States, at 9:01 in the morning and the flight took off at 9:14, to meet this Thursday with Vice President Kamala Harris and other personalities of American society.

The president left through the military airport of the San Isidro Air Base, on a private flight and will arrive in the US capital after noon.
President Abinader plans to return to the country this Thursday at night.
On this occasion he was fired by the Defense Minister, ERD Lieutenant General Carlos Luciano Díaz Morfa.
The arrival of the president in Washington is scheduled for past noon and during his stay in that capital, the head of state will hold a meeting this Wednesday at the Capitol with the president of the House of Representatives, Nancy Pelosi, at 1:45 p.m. afternoon.
He is also planning a meeting with the president of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), Mauricio Claver-Carone.
The president is accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Álvarez; his assistants Eilyn Beltrán and Lourdes Herrera; as well as members of his security team, headed by the head of the Presidential Security Corps (Cusep), Brigadier General Jimmy Arias Grullón.
US Congressmen
President Abinader will be received this Thursday by members of the United States Congress, at the Capitol, an activity organized by the congressman of Dominican origin, Adriano Espaillat. The meeting is set for 10:00 in the morning.
The Dominican head of state and the vice president of the United States, Kamala Harris, will hold a meeting scheduled for 12:00 noon until 4:00 in the afternoon, this Thursday, at Blair House, the official residence for the guests of the president of USA.
The Dominican president also plans other meetings with Senator Bob Menéndez, chairman of the Committee on Foreign Relations of the United States Congress, and with Samantha Power, administrator of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
Likewise with Juan González, special assistant to the president and director for the Western Hemisphere of the National Security Council and with Philip Gordon, special assistant to the president of the United States, Joe Biden.
