President Luis Abinader He said that he will work to deliver 300 thousand property titles to low-income families throughout the country over the next four years of his government.
The president made the statement while leading the delivery of 1,624 title certificates in the El Tamarindo sector last Saturday, in Santo Domingo Eastreaching the figure of 100,000 in its first four years.
“Everyone in the National Palace and in the government knows that this is one of the activities I enjoy the most, because we know that this changes lives. That is why I want, when I leave the government in the next four years, to have delivered 300 thousand new titles,” said the head of state.

Four-stage project
The director of the Technical Execution Unit, Duarte Mendezsaid that the recently delivered property titles are part of the last and fourth stage of the El Tamarindo titling project, which totals 3,541 certificates, impacting 12,788 families.
The official explained that in these four years they held 180 operational meetings and 48 project presentations, reaching a total of 58 degree programs in 29 provinces.
He said that in total they measured and demarcated 103,472,266.50 meters, having to assume 14 judicial processes.
Méndez added that as on every occasion, the work carried out by the Technical Execution Unit, together with National Assetssaves economic resources for the beneficiaries, reaching the sum of RD$8,262,240,000, up to the event last Saturday, with 99,746 title certificates.
He said that the delivery amounts to RD$276,080,000, meaning a minimum saving of RD$80,000 for each home or lot.
Future projects
Duarte Méndez explained that they are developing a total of 57 degree-granting projects, which are projected to result in 104,652 degree certificates.
In addition to that, the director of the Technical Executive Unit said that together with the Ministry of Housing and Buildings and National Assets, they are working on another 33 condominium projects, to title a total of 9,938 functional units.
