Santo Domingo.- The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, assured that the Government and the Police will face the delinquency on any terrain.
“And I want to tell you right now that the criminals either turn themselves in or they will be drastically confronted by the National Police and by the Government. We are preparing and we have advanced a lot, although we lack, an institution of order to truly confront criminals,” warned the head of state.
The president acknowledged the concern for the issue of security and said that this is his priority.
Sum of all to achieve peace
The president expressed that with the support of all sectors, true social peace must be built in the Dominican Republic.
He declared that it is built by talking with the leaders of the communities because they are aware of the situations in their respective neighborhoods and for this there will be direct communication with the government in order to correct the problems.
When addressing those present at the closing ceremony of the First Community Standards Congress of the National District, he stressed that this activity is aimed at helping the vast majority of Dominicans who want to live in peace and achieve happiness with their loved ones in the neighborhoods.
“We are responsible, the government is, but it has to become a commitment from the whole of society and from here we start with this program of community standards, as a first step with other actions to be carried out in order to work together with you and convert each neighborhood of the Dominican Republic in a place of peace, of good coexistence where the main objective of every citizen is pursued, which is to achieve happiness”, he added.
