Abinader takes first shovel for construction of Police Institute of Higher Education

The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, and the Minister of Housing and Buildings (MIVED), Carlos Bonilla, began this Sunday the construction of the Police Institute of Higher Education (IPES) in the National District.

This ambitious project represents a significant step towards improving the training of the country’s police officers.

The new building will have three levels, encompassing an area of ​​3,124.22 square meters. With an investment of RD$359 million, the institute will have 18 new classrooms, considerably expanding the capacity of the higher education system.

During the opening ceremony, President Abinader highlighted the importance of this project for police training.

“This new institute will have educational classrooms, a dining room, a meeting room, a waiting room, offices, lounges audiovisualsinfirmary, electrical room, bathrooms, auditorium, library, archives and two laboratories. This modern and well-equipped infrastructure will allow a comprehensive and high-quality training for our future officers.”

While Minister Bonilla expressed MIVED’s commitment to the development of the project.

“At MIVED we are proud to be an instrument to help make this work a reality, which will translate into greater well-being for our country. This institution not only upgrade to the training of our police officers, but will also contribute to security and social peace in the Dominican Republic,” said Bonilla.

The construction of IPES is an example of the joint effort between the government and institutions to strengthen education and security in the country, ensuring that police officers receive quality training that allows them to serve and protect the population. citizenship efficiently and effectively.
