NEW YORK.- The president of the Dominican Republic, Luis Abinaderaccompanied by the first lady Raquel Arbagehe held an encounter with the former president of the United States, Donald Trumpand his wife Melania Trumpwithin the framework of the reception organized on the occasion of the 80th General Assembly of the United Nations Organization (UN).
During the meeting, Abinader said he took the opportunity to reiterate the invitation to Trump to participate in the summit of the Americasevent that will take place next December in Dominican territory.

“Together with my wife Raquel we share with President Donald Trump and his wife Melania Trump during the reception offered about the 80th UN General Assembly, where we reiterate the invitation to accompany us at the summit of the Americas to be held in our country,” said Abinader through a statement.
The president stressed that the Dominican presence in this assembly reflects the Active diplomacy that promotes his government, with the aim of strengthening international relations and positioning the country as a host of high level events in the global field.
