Abinader returns to the country from Argentina

President Louis Abinader returned this Wednesday morning from his trip to Argentinawhere he participated in the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Community of Latin American and Caribbean States (CELAC).

The arrival of the Dominican president and his entourage occurred around 7:30 in the morning, at the San Isidro Air Base.

During his speech at the event, the president Abinader He regretted that nothing has been done in response to the Haitian government’s call for him to go to the aid of that country.

He also referred to the responsibility that he said has the CELAC to defend the sovereignty of peoples and their regional integration.

The Dominican president took the opportunity to hold informal talks with presidents, Lula Da Silva, from Brazil; Gustavo Petro, from Colombia; Luis Lacalle, Pou, Uruguay; Mario Abdo Benitez, Paraguay; and Miguel Díaz Canel, from Cuba; he also had a meeting with former United States Senator Christopher Dodd, United Nations envoy to the CELAC.

At the end of the day yesterday Tuesday, Abinader met with leaders of the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), who live in Argentina. He also spoke by telephone with leaders of other Dominican parties and community leaders, expressing his interest in learning about the situation of the Creoles living there.

Likewise, he invited the presidents and their representatives to attend the XXVIII Ibero-American Summit of Heads of State and Government, which will take place in the country in March.

During his participation in CELACPresident Abinader He was accompanied by the Administrative Minister of the Presidency, José Ignacio Paliza, his assistants Eilyn Beltrán and Mercedes Pichardo, as well as Brigadier General Jimmy Arias Grullón, in charge of Presidential Security, and the President’s Press Director, Daniel García Archibald.
