The speech on behalf of the graduates was delivered by María de la Paz Echavarría Andújar, a summa cum laude graduate of the Psychology degree course.

The president, who participated as a guest speaker, said that according to his experience, he summarized the necessary conditions for success in four. He said that the first is perseverance and resilience.

“It doesn’t matter if they stumble along the way, because the important thing about this entire journey is knowing how to face adversity with the fortitude, intelligence and reason that makes them human.”

He said that the second is permanent knowledge and study.
“You also know that you face new challenges, the difficulties of the world of work and life outside the protection of the classroom. And to be successful in a society that changes day by day, continuous and permanent training is needed”.

He indicated that the third is honesty and transparency. “Yes, honesty and ethics help success,” said the president. He stated that the fourth is “prudence and moderation.”

He said that it is time to gather courage, to use all the tools at your disposal, to develop ideas and to launch great projects for your lives and your future.

He said that it is time to use the experience gained over the years to go out and knock on all the doors, one after the other, even if some of them do not open immediately.
“Fight. Have faith and don’t despair,” she said.
