President Luis Abinader traveled to Argentina and Chile on Tuesday, where he will exhaust an agenda that includes a meeting with his Argentine counterpart, Alberto Fernández, and later, he will attend the inauguration of the new Chilean president, Gabriel Boric Font.
Abinader left on a private flight from the San Isidro Air Base at 11:27 in the morning and is scheduled to arrive in Buenos Aires at 8:45 at night.
Before boarding the plane, the president responded to journalists about the agreements he will sign and announced that they will be very important for the areas of hydrocarbons, health and grape production.
In Buenos Aires, he will fulfill a work agenda this Wednesday that includes the start of a business round with Argentine businessmen, in an act to be held at the Palacio San Martín.
President Abinader and his entourage will also participate in a lunch offered by his Argentine counterpart, Alberto Fernández, at the Casa Rosada, seat of government, where the signing of several agreements between the two countries will also take place. Afterwards, there will be a press conference.
The Dominican president plans a visit to the National Congress of the Republic of Argentina, where he will be received by the president of the Chamber of Deputies, Sergio Massa, and will be recognized.
President Abinader was fired by the Inspector General, Brigadier General, Pilot Rafael Acosta Sena, Commander of the San Isidro Air Base; Brigadier General, Pilot Moltier De Jesús Eusebio; Brigadier General Rafael Santiago Castellano Dotel and the commander of the Presidential Guard, Brigadier General Guillermo Caro Cruz, ERD. among other officials.
The head of state is accompanied by his wife, the First Lady, Raquel Arbaje; the Ministers of Foreign Affairs, Roberto Álvarez; Industry and Commerce, Ito Bisonó and the president of the Dominican Oil Refinery, Leonardo Aguilera.
Also, his special assistant and cabinet secretary, Eilyn Beltrán, as well as the director of the presidential office, Lourdes Herrera, who are joined by accredited ambassadors in Argentina, Gustavo Hernando Castillo, and in Chile, Fausto Liz, and the press director of President Daniel Garcia Archibald, who is in Argentina as part of the advance party.
Calendar in Chile
President Luis Abinader will leave on Wednesday for Santiago, capital of the Republic of Chile, to be present at the swearing-in of the new president, Gabriel Boric Font.
Abinader plans to arrive in the South American capital at 7:30 at night, through the Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, according to a note from the President’s Press Office.
The following day, he will be received by President Sebastián Piñera Echenique and his wife, First Lady Cecilia Morel, at the Palacio de La Moneda.
On Friday, when the acts of transmission of command begin, the Dominican president will go to the headquarters of the National Congress of Chile in Valparaíso, where the ceremonial acts of swearing-in of President Boric Font will take place.
From there he will go, together with the other dignitaries attending these events, to the Cerro Castillo Palace, in Viña del Mar, where the new Chilean president and his wife, Irina Karamanos, first lady, offer lunch to their guests.
During his stay in Chile, President Luis Abinader will hold private meetings with the outgoing president and the new president. Likewise, he will have meetings with other dignitaries and special guests.
