Abinader reported that the fairs will be extended to several provinces until the first week of January, so that the population has the opportunity to purchase fresh, quality products at low costs this Christmas.

He stressed that these fairs are part of the programs that the Government executes, to guarantee that the products of the basic basket, especially those used for Christmas Eve and New Year’s dinners, reach the people at fair prices and thus continue guaranteeing food security. from the country.

Among the products offered there are 3.5-pound frozen whole chicken for RD$150, 10-pound chops for $800, one-pound salami for 70, select type B rice in a 5-pound case for 100 pesos and 25-pound for RD$500, 400-gram green beans for 100 and canned 15-ounce pigeon peas for 60 pesos.

In addition, 2.5 pounds of Creole potatoes at 50 pesos, a unit of green bananas at one peso, Phia plantains at 5 pesos, 400-gram spaghetti at 25 pesos per bag, 16-ounce oil at 75 pesos, a pound of Creole garlic at 90 , the cover two pounds of cream sugar at 50 and sardines in tomato sauce of 15 ounces at 55 pesos, carton of eggs at 150, among other products.

In addition to these products, they will offer pork leg of more than 12 pounds at 750 pesos.
