He president of the RepublicLuis Abinaderwent this Sunday to a concert of the Philharmonic of Saint Dominic in the municipality of Santo Cruz de maoin Valverde, carried out to conclude the christmas festivities.
Under the direction of the teacher Amaury Sanchezthe 50 musicians performed well-known parts of Dominican culture with the voices of the choir Cathedral Camerata, the Presidency announced.
The activity was organized by the Directorate of Projects Strategic and Specials of the Presidency (Propeep), directed by Roberto Ángel Salcedo and who was present.
In offering the words of welcome, the mayor of the municipality of maoYohendy Jiménez Bonilla, expressed the excitement of the municipalities for receiving the concert and the president’s visit at the “closing of an unforgettable Christmas season.”
“This event marks a hysterical milestone, as it is the first time that the Philharmonic appears in that province from the northern part of the country,” says a press release.
The activity, which brought together thousands of people from the northwest region, took place in the Amado Franco Bidó Sánchez park, in the aforementioned municipality.

The parts musicals performed by Philharmonic of Saint Dominic were: Joy To The World, Caña Brava, Hallelelujah, Compadre Pedro Juan, Macorix y el Baile de los Guloya, Aleluya, La Bilirrubina, Mi Navidad, Amapola and Merengue Saint Dominicall alluding to the Christmas season.
Salcedo highlighted the importance of concert“who exalted the music Dominican, in an unprecedented event held in the municipality mao“.
“We are infinitely grateful to president Abinaderwho has been the ideologue of this initiative, which projects mao in an extraordinary way, with a concert of this category,” said Salcedo.
He stated that this event will be replicated in different parts of the country, as part of a strategy to decentralize the cultural offer and bring quality art to the entire national geography.
“Never before has such a decentralizing vision been developed, seeking not only economic support for local governments, but also logistical and technical support to optimize their efficiency,” he explained.
