Santo Domingo. – The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, and the Vice President, Raquel Peña, led a meeting with officials from his administration, to give guidance on carrying out the “X National Population and Housing Census 2022”which will take place from November 10 to 23.
During the meeting in the Las Cariátides room of the National Palace, the plans and actions that will be carried out so that the initiative has positive repercussions on the population were presented.
In the tenth Census, 35,000 people will participate who will be working for the National Statistics Office (ONE), during the 14 days that the registration will be carried out at the national level.
Last August, the president announced the completion of the census in order to obtain real data and information on the situation, people and territories, to design correct and efficient public policies.
Among the operational tools that it will have are the cartographic base, the unique recruitment application and the census ballot in the information capture devices.
