During the inauguration of the remodeling of the Gri Gri lagoon, The president highlighted the progress that has been made in his government for the development of tourism and infrastructure in the area.
In this sense, the head of state announced new works, while highlighting that the type of real estate investment contributes to boost the economy already diversify the tourism potential of the region, strengthening its position as an attractive destination for both national and international tourists.
“The beach will be renovated and a second stage of the fishing pier will be built,” Abinader assured, emphasizing that it will contribute to increasing tourist activity.
Regarding the remodeling of the Gri Gri lagoon, the Minister of Tourism, David Collado, stated that the renovation came to change the life of an entire province.
“We are here fulfilling our promise to deliver this important work that was an old demand of the community, which more than the change in the image of the Gri Gri lagoon, is the progress in the lives of so many families,” said the official.
He assured that the project was designed with the vision of being environmentally friendly. environment, accessible and respectful of the ecosystem of the area.

According to the authorities, the remodeling, which was an old complaint of the community, had a cost close to 77 million pesos. They assure that it will directly benefit more than 70 families, whose livelihood comes from the work of tour guides on the boats, the sale of food, as well as the surrounding restaurants.
