President Luis Abinader He assured this Saturday in Miami that the country lives in a moment of growth and economic stability that he attributed to social peace, the control of administrative corruption, the strengthening of public institutions, the unity between the Government and the productive sectors.
Regarding economic growth, he highlighted the growth of tourism, free zones and exports, which contribute to the massive creation of jobs.
Abinader spoke during a meeting with the Dominican diaspora in Miami to which he presented the “Burocracy Zero” project that the Government implements to make it easier for Dominicans abroad to obtain services in State institutions.

“We are making progress in all areas. We are optimistic about the present and the future of the Dominican Republic,” he said, speaking in the presence of the Dominican ambassador in Washington, Sonia Guzmán and the consuls in New York and Miami, Eligio Jáquez and Jacobo Fernández, among other authorities.
He stated that the Dominican Republic is in social peace because there are no strikes, because the Government has been meeting the requirements of all social sectors and increasing aid to the most economically vulnerable sectors.
“We are changing the vicious circle of underdevelopment for the virtuous circle of development,” he said, during the meeting held at the Miami Dade College Wolffon Campus, after noon.
He said that the virtuous circle of development is achieved by strengthening public institutions, eliminating corruption, making the Justice, the High Courts, the electoral regime and the courts independent.

“That is what we are doing,” said the head of state who, during his presentation, was accompanied by Peter Prazmowski, executive director of the National Competitiveness Council.
Zero Bureaucracy
Bureaucracy is an initiative that seeks to modernize the country and facilitate foreign investment in the Dominican Republic, through the digitization of processes and services of public institutions.
“You have to change the culture so that it is seen that the public official is a servant,” said the president who develops an extensive program of activities in Miami.
Zero Democracy is part of Law 167-21, on Regulatory Improvement and Simplification of Procedures, the Digital Transformation Agenda of the Dominican Republic 2030 and the National Competitiveness Strategy.
This program saves the country this year some 4 billion dollars that the Government spends on bureaucratic procedures.
