The President of the Republic, Luis Abinader, assured this Saturday that the security on the border with Haiti, in the face of the crisis in the neighboring country.
“Dominicans can be sure that we are going to maintain security at our border,” he said.
This, during a press conference after concluding the meeting of the Council of Ministers in the Government of San Cristóbal.
The head of state stated that the government has adopted all measures to guarantee security at the border.
And he recalled that security in the border area with Haiti was recently strengthened. Deploying 12,000 soldiers, due to the insecurity that exists in the neighboring country.
Last week, several Super Tucano fighter jets and several helicopters from the Army Air Cavalry Corps were deployed, which flew over the border area.
