San Luis, Santo Domingo Este. – With the fourth and final delivery of 266 apartments from the housing project in San Luis under the My Housing Plan, the President’s Government Luis Abinader It reaches 2,440 homes built and delivered in this municipal district and exceeds 9 thousand throughout the national territory.
The Minister of Housing, Carlos Bonilla, said that it is an honor and a privilege to be able to see palpable results of the efforts made to promote policies that allow the construction of affordable housing and a better future for families in the Dominican Republic.

RD$7,172 million were invested in this project, creating more than 5,400 direct and indirect jobs that boosted the economy of that district of Santo Domingo Este.
It has three stages with 3 and 2 bedroom apartments. San Luis I has 1,416 units, San Luis II with 696 and San Luis III with 328. Green areas, recreation and game areas, institutional space, basketball court and parking were also created.
National Aquarium renovation inaugurates
Subsequently, the head of state led the inauguration of the renovation of the National Aquarium facilities, positively valuing the work carried out and which entailed an investment of RD$93 million by the Reserve Bank and the Reservas del País Foundation.
Samuel Pereyra, executive president of Banreservas, described the National Aquarium as an emblematic place for all Dominicans, and said that the work will provide local and foreign visitors with a renovated space, where environmental education, research and recreation come together to raise awareness about the importance of marine resources and biodiversity.
Likewise, the director of the National Aquarium, Jimmy García, thanked the investment made by the Banco del Reservas and the Fundación Reservas del País, as well as President Abinader for approving “the increase in the Aquarium’s budget from 89.5 million to 142.4 million, for a 59%, allowing 122 purchasing and contracting processes to be carried out, when in principle only 59 processes had been planned.”
The renovation consisted of renovating the auditorium, equipped with modern lighting, projector, seats and state-of-the-art technology.
In addition, the fish tanks in all the marine rooms were intervened, new forts were installed, ceilings and walls were repaired and waterproofed, interactive screens and panels were placed in the different Marian rooms, to make them more attractive and instructive for children and adults, among other things.
Several species were also added for exhibitions, a fence in the coastal area of the Aquarium, electrical repairs, acquisition of medical supplies for the veterinary clinic, solar lighting, surveillance cameras, internet wiring and other acquisitions.
