Santo Domingo.- The President of the Republic Luis Abinader, highlighted this Saturday that the Modern Revolutionary Party (PRM), was born with the clear mission of renewing politics, returning the dignity to the people and ensuring that the State is at the service of the people .
During his speech in the act of celebrating the tenth anniversary of the foundation of the political entity, the leader of the PRM thanked God to allow him to travel this time of struggle and political work, which made it possible to convert the PRM, so little time, into the main political force of the Dominican Republic.
“The PRM was born with a clear mission: to renew the policy, return the dignity to our people and ensure that the State is at the service of the people. But the story does not stop, history requires us to continue evolving, continue modernizing, continue listening to citizens and responding with solutions to their needs and aspirations, ”he said.
He also stressed that this success also entails the great responsibility of continuing to govern with transparency, efficiently and with the unwavering commitment to improve the lives of each Dominican and Dominican.
Abinader called on the leadership and perremeistic militancy to fear the challenges that the future holds, but to face them with the firmness of those who imposed themselves on the faced evidence since each difficulty overcome prepared them to consolidate a future where justice, development, development and equality are the norm and not the exception.
Example of efficient work in government
He said that for this to be possible, the party must be an example of unity, partisan discipline and healthy companionship, while pointing out that history teaches them that unity makes them strong and prepares them for victory.

He declared that in these more than four years at the head of the country from the government he runs, the Dominican Republic grows above the average of Latin America, creates more employment, wages increase, poverty decreases, food security has been consolidated And it is invested more efficiently, reducing unnecessary expenses.

The PRM leader recalled that, a day like today 10 years ago, a set of men and women assumed the task of founding a political organization, to give the Dominicans a new aurora of hope and the security of a tomorrow of shared well -being.
In that sense, he stressed that the true meaning of the contributions and behavior of the PRM is not to occupy the current seat, «but to make clear the message of what we will do in the next ten, twenty and fifty years to continue being a reference of integrity, of transparency and commitment to the welfare of the people ».
«Today, by celebrating our tenth anniversary, we reaffirm our commitment to our ideals, our struggles and with the well -being of the Dominican people. We do not look back, but forward, with the certainty that the best time for our party and for our country is yet, ”he emphasized.

He also said that the PRM has to be the party of young people, women, professionals, entrepreneurs and all those who want to contribute their ideas and work to build a better Dominican Republic.
He stressed that we should always keep in mind that politics, good policy, can never be seen as a struggle of individual interests, but as the most powerful tool to transform society and improve people’s lives.
