San Jose, California.- President Luis Abinader opened his official agenda in San José this Thursday with a key bilateral meeting, reaffirming the Dominican Republic’s commitment to position itself as a strategic ally within the global semiconductor industry.
The president held a preparatory meeting with the CEO of the MySilicon Compass firm, Ian Steff, with whom he reviewed initiatives related to the development of the semiconductor industry.

The meeting took place in the Santa Cruz room of The Westin San José Hotel.
President Abinader was accompanied by the Minister of Industry, Commerce and MSMEs, Víctor Bisonó; the Dominican ambassador to the United States, María Isabel Castillo, and the businessmen and executives Samuel Conde, René Grullón, María Waleska Álvarez, Felipe Herrera Cabral and Marino Auffant, who are part of this strategic mission aimed at opening new opportunities for the Dominican Republic.
