Abinader assures that he will continue listening to all sectors to solve people's problems

He says that these four years will leave an intangible legacy of strengthening democracy with reforms that he will present on Monday.

Santiago. – President Luis Abinader held a meeting with community members and volunteers from the Civil Defense, Red Cross and the Fire Department, where he stated that he will continue to listen to all sectors to solve people’s problems across the country.

“I want to send the message that we will continue to be in contact with the people, solving their problems. That will continue to be a program that we will carry out on the first official day of this new mandate,” he said.

The president, who was accompanied by Vice President Raquel Peña, said he was happy and proud to begin his first day of work with the sectors that work day after day to address atmospheric events in the country.

The ruler also stressed that during his first four years he met in every place to listen to the real problems that arose in each province of the Republic. Dominican.

They were planning large projects and what people expected were several small projects that would solve large problems. He also said that work would be done on the small projects through the municipalities.

The Head of State stated that mass transportation works are being carried out in Santiago, noting the completion of the cable car and the construction of the Monorail, which must be combined according to the system and the flow of transportation.

He also said that part of the Gurabo ravine has already been completed and that the other part is still missing to conclude the sanitation process.

The president indicated that during these four years his intention is to leave an intangible legacy of strengthening democracy with the reform that will be presented next Monday.

In this regard, he said that the reform to be implemented seeks to ensure that no one wants to remain in power indefinitely by putting a lock on the Constitution and also to have a more independent Public Ministry.

He also expressed his intention to leave a physical legacy in terms of infrastructure and that Santiago will have a very special mark, since from 2026 it will be one of the best connected cities in Latin America.
